Duart Castle is a 13th century fortress and home to the 28th Chief of the Clan Maclean and his family. It overlooks the Sound of Mull and was built in 13th century. Further construction extended it in 1633. The Duke of Argyll destroyed it during a battle in 1691. Duart was restored to its former glory in 1911 Comments
